In my opinion, this game gets five stars (duh) because it took the already great 3D Land formula and truly made a better game from it. Characters are different enough so there's a huge reason to prefer one (toad mains, rise up!) and the levels are very creative. New power-ups each have uses in the levels in which they appear and beyond. And, yes, still fun to pick up and play almost 7 years later. Please, mister Nintendo, put it on the Switch so everyone can play this masterful game. Oh yeah, music is good too. I guess.

This is one of my favorite games to destroy family and friendly bonds of all time. Combination of smooth(er than the Wii U) controls, iconic old and new tracks, and straight banger of a soundtrack (the whole thing bops hard, fight me) keeps me going for hours. Perfect gamer-party game!
