I’m giving two stars instead of one because the cinematography is absolutely gorgeous. Other than that it’s basically just a confusing mixture of random people with no backstories or explanation of who they are or why they’re doing anything. There are definitely multiple storylines that don’t seem at all connected. You form no attachment to any of the characters, because you often don’t even know their name, or that’s all you know, so if they die, you really don’t care. At the end this long sequence starts that’s either a trailer for the next installment, a summary of what happens next or…. who knows?? It’s just a bunch of random scenes. There is a one star review on here from Amanda K. She absolutely NAILS IT! I could not possibly explain it better, so read it for more info. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m a Huge Alien fan. I saw the original movie at the theater, and I’ve been hooked ever since. I was incredibly stoked for this movie only to be bitterly disappointed. The look was fine I guess. If you wanted to see a moving display of Alien creatures with no real story line or acting, it would do. The cast was very young and no character stood out. They were generic characters that you had zero attachment to. Like I said the special effects were top notch, although the scenes at times were a bit campy. The “twist” at the end was unoriginal, boring, and frankly silly. The actors in the first two drew you in, these kids could be cardboard cutouts stuck randomly into special effects scenes. You’d be fine waiting for it to come to streaming, I wish I had.

Before we started the movie I actually said to my wife “With this much talent they would have to try seriously hard to make it bad!”. Well… I’ll be damned. The film was totally disjointed, like random scenes were pulled from a movie and strung together. The seriously bloated run time certainly allowed for in depth connections and complete story telling. Yeah, that didn’t happen. The Native Americans were portrayed as imbeciles, completely aware that they were being married for money, but totally fine with it because “Oh! Those blue eyes!”. Even though they are aware of this, it never seems to occur to them that the murders might just be related. The white men are portrayed as either incredibly simple (DiCaprio), or “Aw shucks” guys that really feel they’re doing the right thing (DeNiro). There’s no character development at all, so you feel no connection to anyone in the film. I’m glad I waited till this was on Apple+. I was looking so forward to this anticipating a compelling story of the brutal victimization of the Osage people. To see them portrayed as three dimensional characters sharing their story to tell the world of the crimes perpetrated against them.. This was none of that. It was mind numbingly boring and a paper thin glossing over of the terrible events that happened. I would advise you not to waste your time.

Just…creepy. It’s a really great show, awesome cast, fantastic writing, not to mention the cinematography,. It’s .. wow. It will engage you from the first episode, it will take you on a roller coaster ride and get under your skin. And, no, it’s not one of those “you never see the monster” shows. You will see plenty. If you like dark, creepy shows with strong characters definitely check it out!

Wow! What a truly original show. The storytelling, acting, cinematography.. all as close to perfect as you can get. A group of completely dysfunctional people, who can all be abrasive and a bit repugnant at times…and you fall madly in love with them all. It’s truly one of the best shows I’ve seen in awhile. It will be truly criminal if it is not renewed for a second season! The absolute worst part of the entire first season was that it ended. Check it out.

THE NEXT BIG THING!! I have not played the game, so I can’t speak to that. However, the show is AMAZING! It’s been a long time since I’ve been this excited about a pilot. Fantastic acting, magnificent scene setting, I honestly couldn’t find a single thing not to like in the premiere. The premise is based at least somewhat on science, which to me is an improvement over regular zombie shows. There is non stop action, but also excellent character development. If you like dystopia, horror, sci fi, thriller, you’ll love this! I’m a little old to learn video games.. lol, but this show makes me wanna try!
