Hurt my back, spent some time on the floor, no remote, when this flaming turd of a movie cycled on Netflix. Holy crap, was this thing terrible and stupid and predictable and boring and badly-written and terribly acted and…. So bad that I threw pain relief to the wind and got up to click it off. Spare yourselves, friends. I implore you.

Very occasionally, there's a sappy scene... but the other 95% of the time, this show is perfection! Quick-as-a-hiccup humor, excellent writing and a strong cast of excellent actors keep this show in my Top 5. Michael Urie is wonderful as Brian and Jessica Williams as Gaby is excellent; they both keep me giggling and I can't imagine another actor in either role. The story lines are engaging and never solved too quickly, with just the right amount of silliness and a 1/4 tsp of reality. Jason Segal is a real surprise, too.

OK so this isn’t actually a movie as much as it is a promotional vehicle for Shamalayan’s daughter…. Like a long, boring demo tape for a moderately-talented girl with too much makeup.

Trying too hard to be Downton Abbey. The dialogue and acting is wretched. The sets and dresses are lovely, tho.
