This show was indeed a pleasure. It was a genuine one and more importantly, the director didn't drag the show unecessarily. I remember most of the scenes that were shown were exactly what had happened in the past according to the source. For example, the insults that were heaped on Chanakya by Dhanananda because of which Chanakya (considering his crest as his witness)pledged in the court of Dhanananda that untill and unless he destroys the clan of Dhanananda, he won't tie his crest. Another example as far as I remember is the one in which when Durdhara (first wife of Chandragupta Maurya) accidentally consumes the poisoned food during her pregnancy and she is near to her death, Chanakya cuts off her womb and takes out the infant. He names the new born baby Bindusara since he was born with a permanent blue spot (due to poison). The final war between Chandragupta Maurya and Dhanananda was highly mesmerizing. The only thing that makes me feel discontent is the short-lived appearance of Helena (Second wife of Chandragupta Maurya) in the show. Otherwise, everything was too good. This show is far better than Chandra Nandini (aired on Star Plus). Moreover, the Chanakya Niti was also very enhancing. At last, I would conclude by quoting the following words:
Shatru ho khand khand,
Ho shreshta Mera Bharat akhand.
