I now realise why George Lucas was so disappointed with the direction of these sequel trilogies, as they were absolutely terrible.. Even though The Force Awakens was the highest grossing film out of all three sequel trilogies, it was also the first canon film in 10 years since Revenge of the Sith.. Not to mention 32 years since its prequel Return of the Jedi.. Because 32 years is a long time to wait for die hard fans who are anxious to throw an entire weeks wage just to see the premiere.. Because overall it was a terrible film, although there were very few things that i enjoyed about it.. As for The Last Jedi and Rise of the Skywalker, people should not waste their money seeing these films, when both films can easily be seen via online streaming..

ZERO Story telling, ZERO character development, ZERO world building, ZERO ability building, and the pacing of the story is terrible. The problem with this series is that the writers advanced the societies of all four nations far too quickly in the span of 50+ years. Whilst this gives writers plenty to work with but they also wrote themselves into a corner as a whole. Had the creators taken a leaf from the genius character/story development of The Last Airbender, they would’ve had success with this sequel series. But instead the only development we see of Korra is watching her constantly battling adversaries and losing her powers at the end of each season. Where is the story development in that..?

If you want to watch a married lawyer for child safety have an affair with her stepson, then lie and manipulate her husband even after the stepson confess the affair.. Then watch the wife lie even more in her attempts to silence the boy into committing suicide, without as so much as losing sleep or blinking an eye.. Then this is the movie for you.. As a man, the one thing i find despicable about this film, is how it treated the young mans suicide as a trivial part of the film compared to the mature woman’s sex life.. If this isn’t a clear sign of toxic femininity i don’t know what is..

Even after the son discovering his mothers affair with his friend which led to an altercation between son and mother that took a turn for the worst, resulting in the son suffering a severe accident and then dying.. I can’t help but wonder if this was the mothers plan all along, just so she can continue the affair with the son’s friend.. Straight after her son’s funeral.. This has to be one seriously demented and depressing film for the sake of a love story.. I urge anyone reading this, DO NOT WATCH THIS DEPRESSING FILM..
