The Academy made a mistake. If art is valuable in cinema, Tarantino’s film is the real masterpiece for this year nomination’s. Parasite has its merits as well as its flaws. Korean society and values if accurately described in the movie are troublesome. Deceit, fraude or murder are events that leave its authors without remorse. Plunder of someone’s else wealth is accepted rapidly by a whole family and executed without raising in the victims an elementary reasonable doubt. It is a simplistic plot of a superficial view of social conflict that nevertheless has pace and some interesting effects that keeps you watching the movie to the end.
