I've been an avid fan of the series since they released the color trailers back in ~2013, and followed it closely after realizing it was spearheaded by Monty Oum who had produced some amazing standalone projects such as Haloid and the Dead Fantasy series. He's always shown a mastery in fighting choreography and fast-faced action that's unparalleled in the industry even to this day, several years after his passing.
If you're new to this series, come into it with an open mind and understand that the writing and animation are pretty rough around the edges early on. The show heavily leans on the action sequences to carry it until Volume 3, where the writers really step up to the plate.
