you can not take this movie extremely seriously. It plays on the cheesiness of the video games and that is what makes it good for me. It does change a few characters personalities dramatically. Wesker's and Leon's are the most changed but it makes sense in a way. It always confused me how Wesker had time to be a scientist and a member of STARS while Leon was too good for a rookie in RE2; the movie makes them more human in a way. The movie does try to cram too much from the games in that make it a bit of a mess leaving me feel irritated. Will still watch it again though!
