The plot of the movie was very predictable. It didn't emphasize on the brain of Kakababu, but on his sheer luck, and the brawn of Shantu. This is contrary to a film titled as a ‘detective film’. There wasn't even an explanation of how the mishaps were taking place, and how the villain established his dominion.
