A true horror film in the sense that it's truly horrific. First half had me in tears at several points due to the immense emotional sadness conveyed from a largely "real world" perspective. The 2nd half leveraged that and entwined it with some exceptionally disturbing supernatural imagery. No real jump scares anywhere and so much better for it. Brilliant use of silence too.
