Like Icarus, Bryan Fogel has created another masterpiece. The Dissident carefully, methodically exposes a brutal crime perpetrated by one the most powerful men on the planet. Jamal Khashoggi sacrificed absolutely everything for democracy. This film is a heartbreaking, thought-provoking message to all who live in democratic societies how much we take for granted. The simple possibility of raising one's voice is what Khashoggi wanted for more people in the Middle East. This documentary makes that point so clear, and I'm grateful for it. We need these reminders to speak up and to support those who are risking it all for others. Timely and important viewing, today more than ever.

Beautiful story. Julianne Moore is gorgeous and vulnerable. Fabulous cast. I loved every minute of it.
