Just saw this movie for the second time. Excellent script, marvelous acting, I would watch it again.

The staging is excellent. Huge numbers of extras required. Costumes expertly done. Roddy MacDowall as Octavian gives perhaps the best performance of his career. The passion between Taylor and Burton is real.
A very absorbing movie.
