As everyone else has said. The book is difficult to understand, and therefore difficult to get into. You're constantly trying to figure out who said what to whom. The Tudor dynasty is a fascinating subject and it's been done to death by other writers much more successfully. This book manages to turn Henry VIII and Anne Bolyn into a boring tedious topic, which it certainly isn't. Even the Wikipedia entry on this topic is more engaging than this book.
