This series is one of my top 5 favorite Chinese dramas. Dont listen to the negative reviews, watch it for yourself. Yes the episodes are a bit draggy but you can fast forward. I like the casts in this drama, the costumes and the set production is so beautiful.

Im obsessed with this series like extremely lol I love the writing, setting the clothes and the acting is just amazing. I am a GOT fan and the shows have similarities except the last kingdom didnt drag out in each episode like GOT does. The writing kept me hanging on every single word and I binged watched seasons 1 - 3 in 2 days. I watch it again with caption lmao. I definitely had an emotional rollercoaster of emotions from feeling sadness and anger to jealousy and then crying at the end. I hope more people watch this show coz I dont think many people know about it. extremely underrated show. I will be buying the saxon tales novels so I can get lost in the books for a long time.
