I watched this the day it came out, November 12th, and went in expecting a good movie following the original two. However, what I got was a horribly-written, boring film pushed out by Disney as most likely a cashgrab, both for the second anniversary of Disney Plus and the incoming holiday season. None of the characters are memorable at all (not even Max, the main character) and the writing is horrible. Basically, a husband and a wife (I forgot their names) are selling their house, as they’ve lost money recently. However, they soon find out their doll, which sells for 200,000 dollars, was stolen by an annoying protagonist named Max, who misses his family’s flight via sleeping in his car due to his unlikable family. I won’t even bother to explain the rest of the plot, as it’s boring, tedious and overall not worth a reader’s time.
In conclusion, please, just watch “Home Alone” and “Home Alone: Lost in New York”. They’re the first two movies, and are MUCH better than the ones that came after them, mainly because of the cast and writing. The original two movies are also on Disney Plus. Don’t even waste a single minute of your time on this garbage movie.
