I am writing this after watching Jigarthanda Double X. The XX was good and worth watching, but not good enough to beat this masterpiece. Jigarthanda 1 is still stands tall in terms or writing and execution, I can hardly pick any flaws in this movie and its a great example for how an art movie can be made in a commercial way without cliched scenes and troops.

One the best sequel I have ever seen in my life. A sequel for which both audience and makers were unprepared, but turning out to be the best is such a rare phenomena. Kudos to the director, definitely deserves a highest reward anyone could get.

Dont know what to say, I am writing this review after more than three weeks now since I saw this movie. But it is not out of my head yet. If u had a heart break where u had to seperate from ur love due to circumstances, you ll connect to this even more and live with the characters. Story telling at its best and its a master piece. For instance, there are few songs in the movie, which runs at the background, that was not released before the movie. Those are not catchy too, but when they released those songs after the the theatrical run, you can still remember where those songs were placed and vibe to it and feels the scenes ❤️ this is so under rated and one of the best love stories of all time 😍

This is easily one of the best indian movies of 2022, just go and experience it in theatre ❤️❤️❤️

The making was way ahead of its time and even today you can see foreigners falling in love with the stunts in this movie. The screenplay and different emotions blend so well, without deviating from the core plot. If this was released today as a pan Indian movie, definitely it would have been on top. ❤️ Vikram, more than just doing different characters or make over, those characters were strong and written well, adding to the storyline. We need Vikram to comeback with these kind of scripts, where his performance is equally supported by the story.

This is not ur regular mass or art movie that u would expect from a top tier actor, especially Dhanush. You can call it a Slice of life or a feel good movie. But overall a well made, funfilled emotional drama that one cannot miss. The lead actors (Dhanush, Nithya, Bharathiraja and Prakash Raj) have just nailed it. Just go without thinking much, u ll come out satisfied.

We miss these kind of movies in the Hollywood currently. A movie to re visit any in day in future, still you will feel the same as your first time.

Such a non sense movie. No effort in writing lame story and performance. One of the worst I have seen in the recent years.

I would rate 2.5/5 for the Music, Cinematography and descent performance by the actors in most of the portions. However, disappointed with this remake. I understand you need the additional mass in Telugu cinema and the movie had a scope for it, but why turn it into a masala flick? After all it is complete classic movie. Removing important scenes and conversation, changing and exaggerating the scenes for more masala, most importantly ruined climax and unwanted cliche flashback to later connect it to the climax, abrupt song placements which wasnt required, less focus on Rana's character and its layers, adding more importance to Nithya menon unnecessarily; all these made this movie a forgettable one. The original movie is close to 3 hours, but I can still watch the whole movie multiple times without getting bored. Telugu industry, should stop remaking classic and sensible movies, it is not ur cup of tea 🙏

This is one such hard hitting movie in the way it is handled, completely portraying both extremes of a ppl inside the police dept. A compelling storyline and effective screenplay, however could hve been great if this didnt have element of caste infused forcefully and TYPE CAST the roles based on that. Then comes the climax, it is made to look tragic, when there was a enough room for a better alternative ending. SPOILER : If Samuthrakani had to kill the DC character, it was high time that he did it in the pre climax when he was forced to shoot an innocent boy whom he tried hard to escape from this framed issue, instead of the actual climax which made less sense. Other than him feeling guilty for killing a innocent, when he could have saved him easily by killing the DC.
