Total garbage. If you're looking for something thought provoking or involving the human psyche like Requiem for a Dream or Black Swan, don't bother. Those are two of my favorite movies of all time but this allegory was just horrendous. Mild spoilers: Not everyone stomps on mother earth like that. Some of us treat it with the utmost dignity but was any of that portrayed? Of course not. It just showed the most vile people and how THEY treat our planet. I feel like this movie would have been far better had it shown both sides of humanity. Instead it just showed the absolute worst. Not to mention it was a failed allegory from the start. Mother Earth invites us in if we treat her right. But that allegory could never work when the Mother Earth shown here was a person with a home. Obviously that setting is never an open invite. Maybe would have worked better I'd the setting was a community center or something. Plus the whole movie just pissed me off. If you take one wrong step, Mother Earth will kill you. It doesn't take a lot, it only takes a little. Not in this movie. It wasn't until there was absolute chaos and utter disaster that She finally snapped and destroyed it all. Plus She would never self destruct because of herself. It's a natural causation of human destruction. So yeah this movie gets an F in my book. I miss Aronofskys thought provoking movies than focus on the human mind. This movie was about as good as The Fountain, which was horrendous.

Absolutely phenomenal horror game. Nothing short of a masterpiece. It’s not very scary but it is certainly eery and creepy (however I have a high tolerance to horror). Think Midsommar/ The Wicker Man but more tame. One of the best games I’ve ever played. Incredibly unique play style, art style, music, characters, story, vibes, etc. You basically fall into a folklore sketchbook village, trying to find out the circumstances of your grandfather’s death. This game made me cry at the end, too. I felt an incredible sense of peace, sadness, and nostalgia all combined in one even though this game took me less than 2 days to finish. There’s nothing quite like it, truly. Don’t think twice about buying it if you’re on the edge, just go for it. Easily a 10/10.

An absolute classic. It was cutting-edge for the year it came out (2006 wow I’m getting old) but frankly the graphics don’t look much worse than games now, aside from the NPCs. I remember being on the edge of my seat watching my friends play. Played it myself a couple years later, then again in 2015 and now again in 2021 to prepare for the Elder Scrolls VI release later this year (hopefully!). Someone below reviewed that the gameplay was clunky. Not really though. Nothing like older school games, such as Resident Evil 4. What you should play for primarily, is the story. This game has one of the most memorable main quests and side quests of all time. Yes the AI isn’t great, but it’s by no means game ruining. Yes the graphics are older, but they’re still pretty dang good. No this isn’t an FPS, so the combat system isn’t perfect, but it is by no means boring considering there are many diff play styles you can incorporate into your gameplay. Some of the complaints I’ve seen are totally valid, but they will never overshadow the story. Will always recommend this, as well as Morrowind and Skyrim. It’s a fantastic series.

I enjoyed it a lot. There are 0 jump scares, you need to read between the lines, and I highly, highly recommend reading subtitles and watching it in the Japanese instead. This horror is exactly what I look for in a series: the horror of humans themselves. The English speaking actors were nothing short of abysmal. I’ve never understood why they choose American actors to perform the parts of foreigners. Why not find English speaking Japanese folks to do the voice acting? At least they would have an accent, which is far more convincing. It wasn’t the fact they used English speaking voice actors though, as much as the voice acting itself was just bad. You can still understand tone of voice even if you don’t understand the language. That being said I was surprised that the reviews were so poor. I did not watch the original Ju on movies, I watched the American remakes and they were so bad imo. Maybe if I watched the originals I would be more critical but I still thought the series was a bit above average and would recommend it.
