I remembered this from my youth. Besides the memories and silliness that is Warner Brothers's Looney Tunes, I actually discovered and learned about a largely forgotten great American National political figure and hero Wendell Willkie. During a bit between Bugs Bunny and a character called the gremlin yells out,"Well he ain't Wendell Willkie!!" Now that we have the internet which then didn't exist, I sought to find out who this man was that the creators of this video (and obviously the viewers of the cartoon) named that would make the joke funny. He was largely celebrated for throwing away his big opportunity of winning the presidential election (unseating Roosevelt for his third term in office) and going against his own party's directions to fight for what was right in America in the early 1940s leading to America entering the World's second world war.
