This was complete Hollywood drivel. It started out an interesting story, but then lapsed into leftist PC nonsense. Everyone says the book is better, but I don't know if I can stomach the thought of replaying any part of this garbage in my head by reading the book.
I'd really like to know why the Mia and Bebe characters are not accountable for any of their bad decisions, poor choices and vicious acts, yet Elena is vilified to the extreme. All the characters were grotesque, yet only Elena is portrayed as evil incarnate, while Bebe and Mia were given free passes.
They say the book is more nuanced. Does that mean all the characters had to step up and own bad behavior, or are we just supposed to feel more compassion for Mia and Bebe in the book?
I have liked Reese Witherspoon over the years, but this has soured me on her completely. I blame her most for this travesty because Hello Sunshine is her baby.
