Shark War

This movie kinda perplexes me. On the negative side, and I guess I should start off with the obvious. The humans are some of the worst in the monsterverses. The only characters I cared for was Gia (the little girl) and the mother when she is involved with the little girl. The only other character is Kyle Chandlers character and Shun Ogori’s character, and unfortunately, Kyles character is pushed to the side, And Shuns character practically gets no screen time and is killed off. On the positive side however, the monsters motivation and personality made sense, and the movie surprisingly made me route for Kong even though I was team Godzilla, the action scenes were great however I don’t think they are better than King of the monsters as I felt more accomplished at the end of the climax. And this movie has a lot of b’movie crazy stuff that in any other movie wouldn’t work, but as a Godzilla movie, it is actually normal and perfectly fine. So yeah, despite its down falls, I think it’s still a really good movie, not better than king of the monsters, but still.
