A great film; powerful, dark, disturbing, magnificent. There's a scene where he's laughing (crying in his way) on a bus after being shunned and chastised by a mother for politely being silly with her child, and I whispered to my brother: "This is what true anguish feels like..."

A poor film. Tried to like it but Hmph... Joaquin Phoenix put his heart into it (he lost so much weight again and his acting was solid) and Lady Gaga sang and acted well. But their performances cannot make up for the writing and choices in direction. It was slow and dragged on and on, with music of high quality but better left in a bygone era. And finally when a bomb went off and it looked like things would pick up a bit, nope straight back to the same old dreary setting. And by the time the credits rolled I was left thinking: If that's the resolution then I just wasted my time watching it. I walked out just feeling well, nothing. You want to leave the theater feeling something. It was just, blah...

Two episodes in and this is awesome! Obviously it's a different story based on Tolkien's tales of earlier times, and this show is getting review bombed for being too different than LOTR's. Think about it, we saw LOTR's and the Hobbit, and we can rewatch those from time to time. Now it's time for a new story, and holy cow it's hitting the mark so far. UPDATE Just finished Season 1 and all I can say is, it's fantastic! I think people need to be careful about review bombing a series like this, seemingly with a desire for the series to fail to "stick it" to a big corporation like Amazon, when all the while they're likely watching and actually enjoying each episode. Because, if they succeed in deterring the majority of people from watching, we simply won't get to see epic, excellent, and EXPENSIVE, series like this. Keep up the great work Amazon! UPDATE Two words, two numbers: Season 2 Episode 7... EPIC

I really enjoyed Horizon Chapter 1, great performances from an incredible cast of familiar faces. Underated by critics. Really looking forward to chapter 2.

Everyone, please get out and watch Furiosa. We can't allow a franchise to die over weak support for a great movie, one that's currently rating 90% on Rotten Tomatoes by both critics and the public. We all supported our favorite desert themed franchise this year, let's get out and support our second favorite!

I was mesmerized by dazzling effects and epic war scenes as lasguns cut chunks out of lumbering spice harvesters and alien bass and explosions reverberated through my seat. And I wasn't even in a D-Box just a standard seat LOL! Sand worms raced along with their backs just above the surface, an enduring interpretation, and baby worms looked just adorable enough to hug... yeah, not quite, but still! Thank you Denis Villeneuve for finally bringing Dune to the big screen triumphantly after all these years. Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya and supporting cast are in full form and deliver immensely, creating a forever classic film that is sure to win at the Oscars.

This show is unbelievably good. I watched it late and regret waiting so long to see it. It rejuvenated the prequels for me which I always liked but not loved. The writing is just so great, every episode hits its mark. Forget that this is animated, it should all be turned into live action some day, if ever possible. Now I know why some say they shed a tear when they saw Ahsoka in the Mandalorian.

I loved this series. I was hooked, and binge-watched my way through it. Ewan McGregor is fantastic as usual, and some moments made an impact on me. I found myself thinking about Darth Vader's words to Obi Wan on the Death Star in A New Hope: "When last we met I was but the learner, now I am the master." We thought before this referred to their epic battle in RotS when Anakin was terribly burned burned and lost limbs. Now we understand Vader likely references a different encounter...

I have to admit when I first started watching this it took me a while to understand what all the fuss was about. Then, between episodes 3 and 5 of the first season, it's almost indefinable exactly how the show hooks you, but then you can't help but keep watching. Great story. One of the best Sci Fi shows, lots of cool characters, good acting, well worth it. UPDATE Just finished the series and WOW, it was awesome. So worth it, very well written. It's sad to see it end, but an excellent ending it was.

So good after just two episodes. How did I miss this?!
