In Clint's latest and quite possibly final role he plays an almost entirely ossified cowboy, with the libido of an untethered ram and the abilities of a man a quarter his age. To the surprise of no-one he fails to pull this of, even for a second. Throughout the entre movie he cut the figure of an emaciated Mr. Burns whilst still trying to muster the zeal of the original gunslinger. The movie is utterly preposterous and quite frankly an embarrassment for the great Clint Eastwood. The continuity and timeline is all over, with unfathomable glitches and characters that make no sense. It’s a movie that I thought promised a message and possibly some wisdom. What we got was a terrible movie that overindulges a legend of the screen, with quite possible his final hurrah. Unless of course he manages one last movie. Possibly a biopic of a young Genghis Khan, played by a less than sprightly Clint Eastwood
