Need for Speed is about your average, hell-bent hero looking to clear his name. Though to some critics that comes off as a bit cliche, which can make it more understandable as to why they tore this movie completely up, it still is something I disagree on. Not only was the action there, the story was as well. Yes, it's not your typical Fast and Furious story with hundreds of cars totaling and an occasional wheelie, but that's because it's more practical.
Acting was phenomenal in the way they truly connected to their characters and made you feel the tension in the more serious moments. The driving perfected exactly what they were going for, and that was to slide beautiful cars across the US while keeping the stunts between the fine-line of believable and absurd.
The stunts in this film were truly badass. Not situations you'd most likely see in the real world, such as a 900 horsepower mustang driving straight off of a canyon, but to pull it off and not make it look not-so-ridiculous is extremely impressive.
Overall, the driving was amusing, the stunts were performed excellently, and the plot is for sure not a let down by any means.
