Captivating book! The writing style is buoyant and the observations are witty, but the author's attachment to his alluring and complex mother run achingly deep. Having just lost my mother, I was shaken by Mr. Schnurmacher's description of their unusual bond. The portrayal of the beautiful Olga's personality was breathtaking. I have so many intriguing questions.
