It was disappointing. Took away many good and enjoyable features such as following Pokemon (Which they already have the code and animations for), Events like musicals, Seasons. the weather is nothing like the interesting interaction that previous games had (having to listen to the radio at certain times and such), the ruins were boring and empty, there was no interesting puzzles, AND most of the interesting developments 'the champion dealt with'. The story was boring and short. There is plenty more. It just seemed unfinished and unrefined. The animations where half done while the rest was just shaking or rotating the model in place which made it seem like a low budget game. TBH some of the character faces and animations where just weird and creepy. I did heavily enjoy catching Pokemon and the cooking and camping system thou even that had the potential to be amazing. they didn't include any touch screen mechanics which is easy enough to do. things like fossils was boring and not made to be anything interesting. I do enjoy all the loot within the wild area but if it had to be reduced to lower the 'this is a kids game' hand holding going on in here i would be okai with it.
