Something of a shame, had been looking forward to seeing this period piece, as relevant now in terms of industrial unrest and stagnant wage increase as it was back then... But came away feeling disappointed.
Attention to detail was high, an effort was made to bring the issues to the fore, (not entirely successful) and yet there was no attempt to identify the characters of the time, (especially for an audience who mightn't be familiar with the events)...
It might also have helped to recruit a few more extras in the way of more accurately portraying the yeomanry forces deployed to put down the meeting... A handful of dragoons & hussars, a dozen men on foot, aren't exactly intimidating to anyone...
Glad to have seen it, glad someone takes an interest in these movies, but it'd be nice to be a bit more detailed.
