The one man runner of this show James Rolfe, the actor/director alongside his best friend Mike Matei, the editor, of a comedic and cinematic thriller based on the subject of these guys hell-bent on reviewing on-camera some of the worst video games in the world including one in which Michael Jackson "saves" kids by kicking bad guys and finding them inside of closets. They deal mostly with retro video games, and improvisationally makes up funny jokes about how bad these 20 year old games are as if it is a long-running obsession. In AVGN, the main character "The Nerd" gets angry and screams all manners of professional critique and profanity as a result.
