Not surprised Smithy's new woman legged it - a cast of has-beens trying to squeeze comedy out of a dated formula ( reminiscent of a Brexiteers vision of what their perfect Britain should look like - naive, insular and cringe-worthy ). Surely the Beeb can do better than this or is dumbing-down now their raison d'etre ?.
