Simply terrible. People acclaiming this film as ‘brilliant’ or ‘amazing’ are sorrily mistaken. Ascendant is a garbage movie, about a girl stuck on an elevator for an hour and forty-two minutes. The plot is so unbelievably convoluted and boring, the thriller aspects are cheap and the ending was confusing. Audiences are expected to keep up with a rapidly changing environment; nothing is explained. I hated watching this movie. It is rather pathetic. Sad to see such potential go to waste!
