What a disappointing and frustrating ending. Other reviews have covered most points but would like to add - When the brother goes into the water after Tom, he is knee dip in the lake. When he returns to the group, no one questions why his trousers are soaking wet and the assumption is that the boy had drowned??? Also the mothers acting!! What were they thinking?!
