Anti-climatic and chaotically rushed. Game of Thrones season 8 has been rather underwhelming - to say the least. Game of Thones can now only be characterised as being the show that left plot development in the dust and tossing in wild cliches and cheesy conclusions. Wishing we could detach seasons 1-7 from the final 6 hours of solemn “blank looks” is just not possible. What season 8 has thought the Game of Thrones viewer is two things:
George R. R. Martin is whom we owe the real credit.
What we once knew as the production team who challenged modern “rules” about TV and Film, are fundamentally just the same as any other. This could’ve been a television revolution, marking a new age of TV for modern audiences, but instead we feel cheated - still.
What a shame.
