Great performances but not sure this adaptation was really necessary. Has a wonderful R rating feel all the others lack. It was set for a 2016 release but not finished visually until 2018 when it was sold to Netflix to release. Stands on it's own and certainly worth a look. Furthermore, the film follows the cartoon (minus singalongs) and even travels past the village ending. Mowgli is given the chance to use humanity to pay the jungle back. A rather nice touch I liked.
