No words to explain the brilliance of this movie! I don't think any team in Indian movie industry could handle such a sensitive topic with so much of beauty and subtlety. Every single scene is crafted with so much of care by the entire cast & crew of the movie. Definitely a film that should be watched by aspiring young movie makers to learn the craft.

Weak script, poor direction, and forced humour. A poor attempt to recreate thanneermathan dinangal kind of genre.

Make sure you switch off your brain before watching this movie! Such an unconvincing and unrealistic plot especially second half.

Kudos to the entire cast and crew of this movie for handling such a delicate topic laced with humour with no melodrama and no unnecessary tear-jerking dialogues with the typical bgm. Every scene in the movie is taken so realistically with perfect casting. The movie has so many Rofl moments and my mom ( who rarely watch movies) and I ended up laughing a lot discussing each scene for a week! Don't miss out this guys..

A slow paced movie with unnecessary build ups through slow motions, background score and close up shots. Production design/ Art direction team has overdone every set that it looked too perfect to be natural. The indoor shots inside houses and flats looked as if it's an advertisement set. Nayantata comes across as a superconfident and assertive woman in the entry scene and from second scene onwards her character becomes quite and composed. It looked as if strong traits were given to her just to make the entry scene powerful. Also, when a superstar like Nayantara is a part of the movie, it is easily guessable that the entire suspense will be around her in the end, otherwise stars like her wouldn't even bother to sign a movie just to portray the role of an 8 year old boy! However I liked small attempts by the Nizhal team in bringing more diversity in characters names like Baby, Kaif, Aftab, Bahadudeen, without any particular purpose. Usually movie makers pick these names only when they want to bring a religious angle to it. Also I liked the way they made it very normal where husband offering wife a drink and husband making tea for wife once she is back from work. Inclusion of those small elements are to be appreciated!

Undoubtedly Alankrita Srivastava's movies are brilliant, but her themes and approach are becoming the same. It's a layered movie with too many ingredients and finally I didn't know where the focus of the movie was. Performances of the cast is really good. But, It might be a bad idea if you are planning to watch it with your children thinking it's a comedy movie or a family entertainer.

Story of the movie is inspiring since it is based on real life character. So can't give credits for it to movie makers, but appreciate their thought to choose Gunjan Saxena's brave story to bring it in to big screen. However, movie delivery is just average. Entire crux of the movie is already there in the trailer. So you don't feel any suspense or thrill when you watch it. In fact you can clearly predict every next scene throughout the movie. So it gets boring at times. I could not find anyone doing an effortless acting in the movie. All supporting cast make it obvious they are acting, very clichéd performance. Jhanvi Kapoor has same sad expression whether she is on a chopper or at a dining table. I could not see that valour or passion of the character in her. Gunjan Saxena doesn't come out as a strong personality through Jhanvi. Overall a cold average movie. But yes, you can watch it to see the inequality and misogyny a female had to face even in Indian Airforce and how she was discriminated purely based on her gender at her workplace.

Watched half of the movie and finished remaining half in less than 1 minute thanks to fast forward option. Creators of the movie wanted to potray a lot of things, but ends up in a mashup with no vision. To add to the mess, Shoubin's over acting clubbed with Naveen's totally flat, muted, sluggish acting. However loved the beauty of locations shown as Kattapana.
