Possibly my favorite EP along with Something New. Really love the chill and road trip kinda feel to it that honestly hits different at 2AM. What Do I Call You was honestly an AMAZING title track and I love the laid-back feel to it and I know we all know that Taeyeon is the king of heartbreak and empowerment songs. Ngl, Taeyeon can fit into any genre, ranging from R&B to pop. I definitely recommend this EP so much, though it was released in December, I still listen to it and I can never get tired of the b-sides. My favorite ones currently are Playlist and To The Moon and yes, I cannot choose between them, lmao. Playlist and Galaxy have this very chill feel and it's very romantic and gives you midnight vibes driving through your street, whereas To The Moon and Wildfire have a different vibe to them which gives you a slight groovy feel. I love all the tracks to be honest, but Wildfire disappointed me and I overall don't really resonate with the track. Oh and am I the only one who thinks To The Moon sounds like an Ariana Grande song? Reminds me so much of Just Like Magic from her Positions album. But to sum it all up, this EP is a must listen and R&B lovers, this one's a great rec for y'all! Track ranking: 1. Playlist 2. This album is possibly my 3rd favorite EP before ICY and WANNABE, and I love the fusion of different genres, like reggae and I really loved how they all had their own spotlight, from Ryujin's rapping to Lia's vocals. They really showcased it beautifully. Currently, my favorite track of the album is SHOOT! followed by Kidding Me. M.A.F.I.A In the Morning was a great title track, very dark and girl-crush and the choreography was amazing! This era, Yuna really surprised me and caught my eye, she really owned this era in my opinion. I love how Yeji showcased her rapping skills too with Ryujin and the rapping blended really well. Chaeryeong and Lia, their vocals really shined in this album and I am so so proud of them. The girls did amazing and I would love to see more from them! I personally think they could've done better on the b-sides, I was slightly disappointed but they did really well. I think that for M.A.F.I.A In The Morning, the verses which ONLY contained the rap was slightly...off. I was anticipating something like what we had for WANNABE but I'm still good with it. I don't know if it's just me but I think the title track is better than Not Shy. I also definitely felt like Kidding Me and SHOOT! could've been a great EP along with the title track. This album has such emotion and it showed Wendy's vocal color which shined a lot in this album. "When This Rain Stops" is a ballad and as a person who doesn't listen to ballads much, this honestly made me cry. It feels like she's telling us it's okay to take a break and smile again. "Like Water" really sounded like water, her vocal flowing so smoothly and the lyrics are so beautiful, showing how much she waited for us to see her again. The next track, Why Can't You Love Me? is my 2nd favorite out of this album and I loved Wendy's tone, playful but desperate why the s/o can't love her. It reminds you of spring, happily walking through the bushes and flowers. "The Road" is my favorite track, rock-based and the lyrics show how the person remembers about his s/o and the happy times they had together but at the same time, trying to forget her s/o. The track "Best Friend" is so cute and Seulgi also showed her warm tone here! I love the lyrics here, showing each other's gratitude for being their best friend all along. I also love how there's a slight variation of genres in this track and I think both Wendy and Seulgi had this comforting tone and I love it! Track ranking: 1. The Road 2. Why Can't You Love Me? 3.
