Hollow Knight could, in most regards, be considered a perfect Metroidvania game. It's certainly up there for me.
The atmosphere is more than fitting, the soundtrack is masterful. The combat is fine tuned, if not flawless. Would absolutely recommend for fans of platformers or artistic games.
