I absolutely loved this movie!!! When I saw the trailer, I bought a row of seats at the theater for family and friends for Christmas Day! We went to the show expecting - in spite of the bad reviews - to be amazed, and we were! The film was able to do so much more with the production than a stage play can, and it was done so beautifully!!! It stayed very true to the original, but the experience was on a much grander scale. The songs and dancing and acting were perfect. The critics who wrote so hatefully probably have never seen Cats or, if they have, probably hated the stage play as well. Since Cats played in London for 20 years and 18 on Broadway, with millions of people loving it, it makes you wonder. One of the criticisms was that human heads were put on cat bodies. Never once was there a question whether the cats were hybrids or actually 100 percent human. It's mind boggling someone would make a comment like that. The CGi was incredible, but you could still tell these were actual people with CGI fur leotards. Nothing horrific about it. The ears and tails were amazing, and the "cats" even looked soft. This show was the best Christmas gift ever!!! . .
