Gripping from the start, this is a horror film that is so real, it will haunt your dreams. This is an exquisite film, from the writing, the meticulous acting, the cinematography. A masterful piece of direction. What does a parent do with a child who is a sociopath, so skilled at manipulation that the mother, played by Tilda Swinton, is trapped with no way to parent him. I kept wondering why the parents never seek professional help. But not all people take their troubles to outsiders. And the child is a virtuoso at acting normal and Ioving first toward his father, then to the mother that one can see how impossible it is for the parents to believe their child is evil. A film not for the faint of heart that will stay with you (fortunately or unfortunately) for all time.

Absolute genius. One minute I'm laughing my head off; the next minute I'm sobbing my heart out.
