This is my first ever review about movies, I'm going to say what I processed from this film so Please have an open mind.
The title says it all...
This movie is for people who need to Man UP. The story is about Carl Fredricksen accomplishing his wife's dream to live next to the Paradise falls and having done that he realized he hasn't accomplished his own goals in life, which is to Fly and be a Pilot and then He felt enlightened reading his wife's text in the book before she died and then he remembered there are still special people in his life he can help but is collapsing... He then decided to Man up and take action and put his past aside and make a new one.
But his biggest idol, now his archenemy had his own Life goal too that he promised to the public that he will Bring The Large colorful bird (Kevin) back alive to North America instead of the fabricated skeleton one, But The bird was Fredricksen's Best friend at that point so their Goals intertwined and now A competition between Man to Man and will stop at nothing to accomplish their goals...
It's just never too late to have a goal in your life that you can accomplish and will make you grow as a person and that that's how you truly become happy...
These are my favorite quotes from the movie that resonated with me.
"He hurdles Mount Everest *Fails* He... goes around the M. Everest, Is there nothing he cannot do?"
Don't let failures bring you down and that's what this movie tried to show us.
There were messages throughout the movie "Adventure is out there"
and at the end scene when it says "Spirit of Adventure" meaning have the spirit to Explore life... It's just inspiring.
The quote from His wife Ellie in the book 'My Adventure Book' Before she died
"Thanks for the adventure, now go have a new one!"
It was very enlightening I felt as if I was Fredricksen too with my loved ones...
"It's just a house.."
It's up to you to decide what it means but we all know what it really means...
I think these were the main message of the movie and it's so inspiring and life-changing if you really just process and think about it which I had been for days.
I'm only 16 and have been into self-development for quite some time now and I see this movie more clearly After seeing it years ago as a kid and laughing at it.
5/5 for my childhood and for the real message as a Grown-up developing person.
