I've seen every Star Trek show, movie, & cartoon and find it borderline hysterical that most of the negative reviews come from people who have been fans as long as I have. I like the series. Period. I don't compare it to TOS because that was TOS is this is Discovery. TNG wasn't TOS ... DS9 wasn't TNG ... Enterprise wasn't DS9 ... see a pattern? yeah, yeah "... but the technology" so what? It's not like this is Jar Jar Abrams digging into his One Trick Pony Bag of Time Travel Reboot Complaining about things like Michael being Sarek's ward? Name/Face recognizable actors in the equivalent of a Film School Final Project marinated in almost every genre trope with a sprinkle of the standard "Cage Dialogue Delivery" I know, I know ... Once in awhile, when trailers and marketing lead to low expectations for a movie, you’re pleasantly surprised by the movie itself. “Shazam” isn’t that movie for me. Except for the most basic elements, this movie has nothing to do with the comic I grew up with and watched on Saturday mornings.
