The acting was masterfully underplayed. I enjoyed the complexity of this story. The intersectionality of validation, loyalty and image all masking themselves as love was brilliantly written.

The movie started out a little slow for me, but 20 minutes in and I was both laughing and crying. Watching this Black Family work through the challenges of going from family members to a positive family unit was beautiful. I loved how each one was able to find their own "pot of gold" and still be there for each other. I look forward to a sequel.
