First of all, I love the artstyle. It gives it more emotion and makes it feel more real. Anyway this movie was simply breathtaking, so much feels in one sitting. It's amazing how you can learn about someone without even hearing their voice. It's like a dog without it's bark and a cat without its meow, you can tell how their feeling by observing. Like when a dog wags it's tail its excited, I think if people took more time to take in what was happening they would get a better outlook on life. This film shows what it's like to be deaf and the struggles that come with it. Like in the beginning she was being bullied for writing in her notebook and her voice sounding funny. She does find love at the end which is great. I believe the most shocking scene was when they were watching fireworks and she left because she said she had to do homework. Her sister told Shoya to get the camera because she left it at home. When he got there, he saw her standing at the balcony observing the fireworks in the distance and she stands on top of it. She leans forward and Shoya realizes what's happening and tries to save her from ending it. He manages to save her but he takes the fall and gets in a coma. That scene in my opinion is the most emotional in the entire movie. Life is like a firework, you go up and you go boom gone. You shouldn't try to end it early, talk to someone if you think you might do something like that. The two stuck together and he still loved her. He later apologized for bullying her all the way back in elementary school. She accepts it and they hug. It was a touching moment of how something he did years ago still left an impact on her. The point is, everyone has a voice however some choose to express it in different ways. I'm glad i found this on Netflix because this is one of the best things I saw on there in a long time. This movie is a classic, I would recommend everyone watch it at least once especially if you like romance.
