Despite good (looks) Maya n Wahaj Ali, this drama is plain boring. Dialogue delivery is dragging , testing the viewer's patience. Listless, deadpan faced Maya Ali looks straight out of 1970 movies not fit for 2024! Finally wealthy guy middle class girl love is cliche. Damp squib!

Movie has to have aesthetics. Otherwise it slips into documentary. That is the main differencw berween the two. Lives of humble folk and their saga can be ahown in a much more appealing way. Like K. Balachander. He could make movies with gripping storyline of ordinary folks with below average looking ng actresses like Sarita (Taneer taneer) and yet make an unforgetable film.

The serial now on Voot is a drag, especially the first 300 episodes. Too cinematic, repetitive royal palace intrigues and above all, the 14-15 year old Ashok (Siddharth Nigam) acting, taking decisions, dishing out counsel to all elders very unconvincing to say the least. Looked like the director, producer was wanting to project Siddharth the actor to the maximum, cutting down Mohit Raina's role. He should have enteted after 200 episodes at least. .

This Hrithik bashing by so called movie reviewers of media shows their bias n nothing else. They are just not able to digest the fact that Hritik Roshan is not just a star, he is one of Indian's finest actors. Running him down only reflects the writer's blindness to talent n extreme prejudice towards the actor who obviously doesn't "pay" or "entertain" hungry scribes for publicity. I'm a journo too n I know my tribe like the back of my palm.
