I really enjoyed the movie. Slow burning to the point that when the action sequences start they are truly startling. The reasons for the war are kept deliberately vague so the movie is quite apolitical.
Great performance from Kirsten Dunst.
The final battle scenes are loud brutal and relentless. No speeches, just really well done and quite shocking.
(After watching the movie I re read the history of the original Civil War. A good example of how quickly things go bad in war)

Just excellent. Finally, a love story with a bittersweet twist. Tilda Swinton just lives this role and Idris Elba shines.
I just got totally absorbed in this wonderful film. A must see.
