Dune. Where do I start with Dune?
For an average moviegoer, it would just be an amazing movie like always. But for me, I learned that the director of this movie, Denis Villeneuve had a dream to make an adaptation of Dune. I've never read the books before so, I entered into the IMAX theater on September 22 (it released in European theaters then) with little information in my mind and I came out with absolutely no words. To say it was Mind-blowing is an absolute understatement. It was more than Mind-blowing, it touched my heart so much that I legit cried inside. The visuals were out of this world and Hans Zimmer's music was beyond anything I ever heard in this world. The man legit invented new music for this movie alone. It was Denis' dream to direct the movie and Hans' dream to score it. Both absolutely delivered on that promise. And I'm absolutely glad that this movie is being split into 2 parts because the book is said to be insanely long even though I never read it. The movie took my words away that when I came out of the theater, all I could say was "WHAT THE HELL DID I JUST SEE!!!" For me, this movie is right up there with DC's greatest movie, Zack Snyder's Justice League (the 4-hour cut). Denis, this is your best work of cinema ever. The Casting, the story, the visuals, the music of all things in the movie, It was legit out of this world. I am so happy I got to see this in both the IMAX and standard screen with some friends. I enjoyed the hell out of this movie and I can't wait for Part 2. Thank you for bringing me and so many other people, including many of my friends into the universe of dune. This movie is a Must-watch for all the people out there and I HIGHLY Recommend watching it in IMAX. Its absolutely worth the watch. I can't wait to see what Part 2 brings when its green-lit.
