A French classic, 1970's. Corruption in high places, fine actors, complex plot handled deftly. Expensive production at the best of times for French movies.

Superb documentary footage. This French produced document makes so much clearer the international conflicts that in the 20th century became global. The attempt of Western nations to avoid war and bring nations together through the United Nations Organization after WWI, is the humanistic ideal that becomes quickly a victim of the Cold War. Still, a major nuclear confrontation has so far, by the end of the second decade of the 21st century, been avoided.

Wonderful opportunity to see the best opera in the world right at home in this small Texas town.

This is one of the best programs on television that I have ever seen. Historic events of importance are brought to the screen with a wealth of detail often using places still preserved in France precisely for the purpose of making history relevant today. Without commercials, it is a pleasure to travel in time looking at events that we may have read about but now can see.
