The reason why this game gets so much hate shows why modern cinematography is so lacklustre these days. Audience expects predicative and uncreative narratives in storytelling, and if they don't get what they want, they will just hate because it does not align with 'what they think should happen'. The plot of this story made my heart break for so many characters in so many ways. I can't imagine another approach to the sequel that can make me feel this way, and to be frank, I'm glad that Naughty Dog made this bold move instead of making a flat story that everyone wants.
