Spoiler Alert! When a book ends and you're sad it ended, you know it's good. Project Hail Mary starts off with a mystery that cleverly unfolds. Eventually, the reader is clued in on who the main character is, how he got where he is and what his mission is. I must admit I was bit disappointed at first when the big reveal takes place involving Rocky. I thought the book would become ridiculous. To my delight, I was wrong. Rocky not only grew on me, I came to love the interaction between he and the main character, every bit of it. Yes, the book has A LOT of science discussion, but it isn't that hard to follow. Andy Weir does a good job of making it intriguing, believable and understandable. I highly recommend it.
