Overall disappointing and confusing. “Horizon” is a long and slow movie and really lacking in any compelling storyline. My husband and I really didn’t want to stay for the entire 3 hrs but did-hoping that this movie would redeem itself. Sadly it failed to do so.. The scenery was beautiful but can’t make up for the lack of character development and the confusing coexisting array of characters that weren’t frankly all that interesting. It doesn’t help that 2 of the main female characters look like they’ve just stepped out of the salon with their blonde perfectly highlighted hair~~not very Wild West style. I love Kevin Kostner and his movies generally but this one is not up to par.

I thought this was an excellent movie with a stellar cast and great music to boot. Don’t really get the negative reviews from the “professional “ critics.
