Hard to say how I feel about this film.
On the one hand, I enjoyed the film (well as much as you can, not really a massively cheery subject) Zac did a really good job on this. I think they captured his false, charismatic side really well. But it was lacking in showing his dark side, what he was really capable of.
We only get a small clip of the dogs in the kennel barking at him and a small clip at the end of him hitting a woman over the head and dragging her body.
I think they could have done with more scenes like this to capture his evil side more, watching this film, it could become hard at times to remember the atrocities of his crimes and the fact he was a psychopath. I think they have missed a lot out of the story but then, there is only so much you can add to a 2 hour long film. I think they could have possibly added some scenes where Liz had rang the police. Because I'm sure she rang them multiple times.
However having said that, this film is from the point of view of the girlfriend Liz and sort of how he appeared to be charismatic and normal and make people believe he was a good person, innocent of all the crimes he did.
I did enjoy the film, but I do think it was lacking in some areas perhaps.
I did appreciate them adding the names of the victims at the end. Who's stories and voices so rarely get heard in these kinds of things.
