Excellent acting and creative, compelling story line. Fine cinematic effects. Harry Melling was excellent as E.A. Poe. An Oscar-worthy performance. Christian Bale always delivers as well. The ending scenes were superb.

To be honest, I didn't--couldn't--get past the second commercial break. While being creative and imaginative is good, the whole story line was preposterous and derisive. There must be a degree of believability to make Sci fi work. This had none. Comically ridiculous.
